FLOURISH BAUBLE

Computer had to sent away for a make-over, hence the silence!

Another Christmas card idea for you using the new Flourish Bauble (available here).

The bauble design was stamped on to burgundy card and embossed with gold tinsel powder. The hearts were decorated with clear Glossy Accents (spread using a cocktail stick) which gives a glassy effect.
Cream card was trimmed with deckle-edged scissors. The long fern from Ferns Design Extra (here)
was stamped around the edge with green ink. The edges were then lightly stippled with Versamark ink and embossed with gold powder.
The cream card was glued to the burgundy greetings card and the bauble glued in the centre of the cream card. A gold bow glued to the top of the bauble completed the card.

Here is a quick and straightforward card using our new Flourish Tree design.

The tree is embossed with gold tinsel powder on to black card. Trimmed with deckle-edged scissors and layered on to suitably seasonal paper and again on to black card. Red gemstones (optional) complete the card.

ZEBRA CANVAS

One Zebra Canvas finished at last! It's taken over a year to collect the bits to make it. It's a box canvas painted with acrylic and decorated with felt, ribbon, buttons, gemstones, fabric (centre), stampboard (stamped and embossed with several layers of clear embossing powder) and part of a greetings card glued on to Tim Holtz's Fragments(available from http://www.theartisticstamper.com/).

ROSETTE STAMPS

Rosette Stamps

I have some new designs which are about to go on my website. They are Rosettes: Floral, Abstract and Dotted Heart. The design consist of 3 size of 'double' petals which fold in two creating a bulkier flower or rosette.

The Rosette designs will be in the Flowers and Leaves section of the catalogue (hopefully tomorrow!)
You can also make hanging decorations using these designs ...great for BBQs and Xmas.

I have been making acetate flowers for a craft fair next week. Stamped with Brilliance ink on the rough side of laser printer acetate or OHP film. Cut them out, bend the shape over and glue the tip to make a petal, glue the petals together, punch a flower from card or paper and glue a gemstone in the centre.
They can be used on cards, as a gift wrap embellishment or as a window or mirror decoration.

Alcohol Inks

Hi Everyone
Please forgive the silence, busy with Stamp Festival and husband with kidney stone.

Have been playing with the new alcohol inks from Ranger, available from The Artistic Stamper.
I decided to try them on vellum. I cut scalloped circles from thick vellum (this doesn't warp when painted) and textured them using Cuttlebug embossing folders.
Then I applied inks using the applicator and felt. They have been embellished with Petaloo flowers.
The first circle uses Cool Peri, Juniper and Silver alcohol inks and the second used Salmon, Willow and Pearl.

WINDOW DECORATIONS

The first of the HSNW Rubber Stamp Festivals is coming soon (May 9th) and I've been playing with acetate again.
The Bead and Jewel Butterfly has been very popular when stamped on acetate but the dragonfly's pattern meant that the StazOn colour didn't show up very well. So I've solved the problem by glittering the 'jewels' on the wings and also the body. The small 'beads' have a drop of Glossy Accents. This dries clear so the colours shows through. For instructions for the butterflies go to my site Projects section/dropdown Acetate Butterflies.
