SILHOUETTE WINDOW AND HANGING DECORATIONS

The Silhouette designs can be used to make window / mirror decorations or as hanging mobiles.

WINDOW / MIRROR DECORATIONS

Print the coloured silhouette on to acetate (NB: reverse the image first), cut out and stick a layer of double-sided sticky tape on the back. At this point you can either use special window film (simply stick to the film, cut out and it will just cling to the window) or print another silhouette (NB: image normal), stick to the first frame and use tiny pieces of Blu-Tack to fix it to the window.

If you use the black and white silhouette image (NB: reversed) you can colour one of the images with alcohol inks (blue-greens and silver used in illustration below) or Copic pens or Promarkers before sticking the second image to the back.

You could also try colouring vellum and sandwiching that in between the silhouettes.

You could also stamp on to one of the silhouettes before sandwiching (stars stamped with gold Brilliance ink shown below.

To make a hanging decoration or a mobile, simply punch a small hole in the top and hang with invisible thread.

ORIENTAL FAN DECOR PLATES

FAN LADY DECOR PLATE

First the Fan was brayered with Kaleidacolour Desert Heat rainbow inkpad.
The new Flourish stamp was stamped wth black ink and embossed with matt clear powder. The large Fan Lady, tree arch sides and flowers were stamped and embossed with the same ink and powder.
The flower was then stamped over the black flowers with Versamark ink and embossed with Enchanted Gold powder. The lady's robe was coloured using a Versamark pen and the gold powder. Versamark ink was then stippled round the outside of the fan and embossed with the same powder.
The handle was painted black, stippled lightly with Versamark and heated. Then Versamark ink all over the handle and a couple of layers of clear embossing powder to give an enamelled look.

NEEDLEWORK FAN

This is the Oriental Fan Decor Plate ( measures 18 cm x 26 cm) which has been decorated with stamp designs from the 'Fabric' collection of images.
Fan painted pale green, stamped with part of the Lace Texture Mat and then designs from Fabric Collage and Stitched Flowers Die Sheets have been embossed over it.
The flower was made by embossing paper flowers several times with clear powder ( can also use Melt Pot, see this clever lady HERE )http://sherrycheever.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/2009/12/01/faux-porcelain-video-tutorial/ (mind your fingers!!)

PEACOCK FEATHER FAN

Yet another wall art (or craft) creation using the new Decor Plates.
This time Opalite inks on a black background.Stippling on the handle and character folowwed by embossing with several layers of clear powder to produce the lacquered effect.

ROSETTE FAN

Yet another Decor Plate Fan...it looks brown on the picture but it's actaully Black Plum (Decoart).
The Lace Texture Mat gives a background, Eyelet Edger and punched flowers around the edge and the Floral Rosette stamp design for the centre. The flower petals were stamped with white ink on the rough side of acetate, folded and glued and fixed in the centre of the fan.

This is my entry for this weeks CD Sunday Challenge..
an Anniversary Plaque / Decor Plate to hang on a wall

The fan uses an Oriental Fan Decor Plate, painted with ivory acrylic paint, decorated by stamping and embossing with gold tinsel powder, a heart 'Edger' stamp (CaroLines) around the outer edge, with the message also embossed. The fan handle was inked with Brilliance Galaxy Gold and embossed with several layers of clear powder. While the embossing was still hot, the handles was pressed on to CaroLines Tiles 2 Texture Mat.
The Fan design is from Hinny Bop's Fantastic CD, printed on Champagne Conqueror paper (from Staples), edged with border Peel-Offs, more flowers decoupaged with Glossy Accents applied for dewdrops.
The fan was decorated further with gemstones and a bow printed from the Fantastic CD.

DECOR PLATES - SCALLOPED CIRCLE

ROSETTE DECOR PLATE

This Decor Plate uses the Scalloped Circle design painted black.
A4 piece of paper torn into 4 pieces and scrunched. The paper balls were then used to stipple Opalite inks all over the plate.
The medium circle from the pack was painted lilac and glued to the centre of the plate.
The Floral Rosette petals were embossed with clear powder on to black paper, cut folded and arranged in the middle of the lilac circle.

MUSIC PLATE

They can be coloured with paints, ink and alcohol inks and will not warp with thicker media such as textured paint.
The Decor Plates can then be decorated using your favourite craft technique (eg: stamping, decoupage, quilling, parchment craft, artificial flowers, mosaics etc.) and displayed on a wall or free standing on a shelf or table.

They can personalised to celebrate a special occasion such as a wedding, anniversary, birthday, new baby and so on.
We have 4 shapes at the moment: Scalloped Circle, Scalloped Heart, Butterfly and Oriental Fan.

FULL HOUSE!

Yet another Decor Plate, this time for a card player be it bridge, poker or rummy! It uses those small playing cards you get in Xmas crackers and design from the Playing Cards Die Sheet.

PHOTO FRAME

Some of the Decor Plates can be photo frames! This is the Scalloped Circle plate. One of the circles has an aperture cut out and some of my distant relatives in the middle. The other Decor Plates which can be photo frames are the Scalloped Square and Flower...two of the new ones which will be appearing soon.
