FLORAL SKETCHBOOK BLOSSOM

Using blending in CAP2 to colour flowers.

This card uses images and papers from Blossom Ballet Digital Download
The torn edge is from Creation Cassel

1. Import the flower and 2 papers.
2. Import the torn edge template. Put the torn edge into the punch space.
3. Bring the blossom tree paper on to the workspace. Position the torn edge on the left side of the paper
select it and change the blend mode to overlay. Group the edge and paper and then punch
    the edge out.

4. Move the gradient paper into the workspace and place the torn edge on the left side of the paper. Copy,
paste and flip the edge horizontally so the edge is over both sides of the paper.
5. Group and make a dark pink paper to create a border around the design. Move to the storage bar.
6. Bring the gradient paper to the workspace and position the blossom flower so it is part green and part
pink. Select the flower and change the blend mode to multiply. Repeat twice over different parts of the
paper so each flower is slightly different.
7. Bring the background design on to the workspace and position the 3 flowers (re-sizing and rotating),
    the central panel.

SNOWFLAKE COLLECTION 1/5

Card Samples using the new Snowflake Collection 1 digikit.
This kit is split into 2 items 1a and 1b for selling purposes.

USING YOUR GRAPHICS PROGRAMME

Most programmes have features such as crop, transform etc.
The 2 cards below have used the transform tool to create multiple images at different angles.

This card has used the punch feature to isolate the bubble from the topper.

Craft Artist 2 also has a Kaleidoscope feature (Photolab / distort / kaleidoscope).
Here it has been used on a snowflake.

The background on this card has been made using the Kaleidoscope feature and then Blur / Zoom on the topper. The normal topper was then positioned on top.

The depth in this card has been made by having 3 graduated sizes of the same topper and decreasing brightness of the largest topper (by 6 stops) and the middle one (by 3 stops).

FLORAL SKETCHBOOK DAHLIA

Another way of colouring the Floral Sketchbook flowers using Craft Artist 2

The dahlias and background have all been coloured using the blend modes in Craft Artist 2.
Three squares were made using swirls of colour and the gaussian blur feature
(photolab / blur / gaussian blur).

The Floral Sketchbook Dahlia below was placed over the first square, selected and the blend mode changed to multiply...this removes the white in the flower leaving just the colour. The same  was done to the dahlia over the third square.
The dahlia placed over the second square had the overlay mode applied.

The plain dahlia image was moved to the punch feature in CAP2.
Each of the three dahlias were punched from their respective squares resulting in 3 coloured flowers.
Group the square plus blended dahlia before punching.

The pale background was made by creating a pale lilac square. The dahlia was re-sized and rotated to make a group of three. This was then placed over the square and the soft light blend mode applied. The group was then copied, pasted and rotated to cover the background. Grouped and cropped.

The three coloured flowers were then arranged over the background and a dark purple layer placed behind the design.
