RAINBOW BUTTERFLIES CARD 14

Card 14 using the new Rainbow Butterflies Digikit.

You will need a graphics programme such as CAP2 or MCS to make this card.

This card uses Rainbow Butterflies set 10.


1:   Create a dark brown square in your graphics programme approx. 13.5 cm x 13.5 cm.
2:   Import the embossed paper, re-size and position it over the dark paper. Group and put to the
     sidebar or save.
3:   Import the floral paper, re-size to approx. 5.25 cm square.
4:   Import the butterfly and flower, re-size and position them as illustrated on the floral square.
5:   Copy and paste so you have 2 squares. Flip one horizontally, group together, copy, paste and flip
      vertically, so you have 4 with the butteflies and flowers in a circle.
6:   Print the 4 squares and the card on to good quality card.
7:   Use a Versamark inkpad and a clear powder to emboss each floral square.
8:   Use silicone glue to fix the 4 squares to the card. Put more of the glue on the outer corner of each
     square so that part is more raised then the inner corners.
9:   Embellish with gemstone and glitter if wished.

RAINBOW BUTTERFLIES CARD 13

Card 13 using the new Rainbow Butterflies Digikit.

You will need a graphics programme such as CAP2 or MCS to make this card.

This card uses Rainbow Butterflies set 9.


1:   Create a dark turquoise square approx. 13 cm x 13 cm. in your graphics programme.
2:   Import the embossed paper, re-size and position it over the turquoise square.
3:   Import the textured paper, re-size it to approx. 9.5 cm x 9.5 cm. and position it in the centre of the
      card.
4:   Import the button, re-size to approx. 1.5 cm diameter and position in the centre of the card.
5:   Import the flower and re-size to approx. 1.5 cm diameter. Copy and paste until you have 12 flowers
      and position them as illustrated. You can do this by eye or draw lines at 45 degree angles across
      the card.
6:   Print your design on to good quality card.
7:   Import the butterfly, re-size to approx. 2.75 cm across. Copy, paste and rotate and position them
      in between the flower lines.
8:   Remove the card so you are left with just the butterflies and print the 4 on to acetate.
9:   Cut the butterflies out and glue to the card.
10: Add peel-offs, glitter etc. if wished.

RAINBOW BUTTERFLIES CARD 12

Card 12 using the new Rainbow Butterflies Digikit.

You will need a graphics programme such as CAP2 or MCS to make this card.

This card uses Rainbow Butterflies set 8.


1:   Import the embossed butterflies paper and re-size to approx. 13.5 cm x 13.5 cm.
2:   Create a white square, re-size to fit just inside the embossed paper.
3:   Import the swirling butterflies paper, re-size and position it over the white paper so there is a small  
     border.
4:   Import the flower, re-size and position it in the centre of the card.
5:   Import the butterfly and re-size it so it fits in the top petal of the flower.
6:   Copy, paste and rotate it by 60 degrees. Repeat 4 more times, rotating 60 degrees each time until
      there are 6 butterflies. Position each in a petal.
7:   Remove the butterflies and put to the sidebar.
8:   Print the card minus the butterflies on to good quality card.
9:   Print the butterflies on to vellum and cut out removing the antennae.
10: Glue the butterfly bodies on the flower petals.
11: Embellish with pearls, gemstones or glitter if wished.

OOH LA LA CHALLENGE

It has been made in CAP2 using Ooh La La's Silhouette Magic CD. Embellishments are from Pam Lefors.

RAINBOW BUTTERFLIES CARD 11

Card 11 using the new Rainbow Butterflies Digikit.

You will need a graphics programme such as CAP2 or MCS to make this card.

This card uses Rainbow Butterflies set 7.


1:   Create a dark green square in your graphics programme approx. 13.5 cm x 13.5 cm.
2:   Import the swirling butterflies paper, re-size and position over the green paper.
3:   Create a pale pink oblong, re-size and position to the left side over the butterfly paper.
4:   Import the patterned paper and re-size so it fits in the middle of the butterflies paper as illustrated.
5:   Import the button and place it the centre of the patterned paper..
6:   Copy, paste, re-size and position in the pink panel.
7:   Import the butterfly, re-size, rotate by approx. 20 degrees, copy and paste so there are 3, and position  
     down the pink panel, reversing the direction of the central butterfly.
8:   Group the images together and print on to good quality card.
9:   'Deconstruct' the card keeping the 3 butterflies, the square patterned paper square and the central 
      button. Print butterflies on to vellum and the others on to card.
10: Cut out the vellum butterflies, removing the antennae, and glue just the bodies on to the butterflies on 
      the card.
11: Use an embossing folder and machine (eg. Cuttlebug) to add texture to the patterned square. Glue this
     over the button the card, and apply Glossy Accents and glitter.
12: Use a glue pen and glitter to make a butterfly trail down the pink panel.

CD SUNDAY CHALLENGE

Last week's CD Sunday Challenge was...Hello Doily....I'm a bit behind!!
This would have been my entry


The background paper is from Ooh La La's Watercolour Memories. the doily was one of CAP2's punches.
The dahlia is from my Floral Sketchbook Digikit and the brads from Pam Lefors.

RAINBOW BUTTERFLIES CARD 10


Card 10 using the new Rainbow Butterflies Digikit.

You will need a graphics programme such as CAP2 or MCS to make this card.

This card uses Rainbow Butterflies set 6.


1:   Import the patterned paper and re-size it to approx. 13.5 cm x 13.5 cm.
2:   Import the other patterned paper, re-size and position over the first paper leaving a border of approx. 
     0.75 cm. Group and send to the side bar or save.
3:   Import the textured paper and punch the orange circle from it.
4:   Re-size and position in the centre of the two grouped papers. 
5:   Import the button, re-size and place in the centre of the punched circle.
6:   Copy and paste the button and crop to make a semicircle.
7:   Use this to create a  border round the circle: Position the first semicircle at the top of the circle, copy 
      and flip vertically and place at the bottom of the circle. Copy and rotate  by 90 degrees and position
      on one side, copy, flip horizontally and position at the opposite side of the circle. Copy and rotate the
      top circle by 22.5 degrees, place between the side and top semicircles. Repeat rotating 11.5 and 78.5
      degrees. Group the 3 semicircles between the top and side ones, copy and flip horizontally. Group
      together and flip vertically.
8:   Import the butterfly, re-size and rotate by 22.5 degrees. Copy, paste and flip horizontally and 
      vertically until there are 4 butterflies as illustrated. 
9:   Copy the 4 butterflies and print these and the card design on to good quality card.
10: Cut the butterflies out and glue just the body of each over those on the card. When the glue is dry, fold
      up the wings.
11:  Embellish with gemstones, glitter etc. if wished.

RAINBOW BUTTERFLIES CARD 9


Card 9 using the new Rainbow Butterflies Digikit.

You will need a graphics programme such as CAP2 or MCS to make this card.

This card uses Rainbow Butterflies set 5.


1:   Create a dark blue / purple square in your graphics programme approx. 14 cm x 14 cm.
2:   Import the embossed paper, re-size and position over the blue paper leaving a small border.
3:   Import the swirling butterflies paper re-size to fit exactly over the embossed paper.
4:   Crop the patterned paper to 2 cm in from the left side of the paper. Repeat, cropping to the right side
      of the paper.  
5:   Position these borders over each side of the embossed paper.
6:   Import the textured paper and re-size to approx. 3 cm square. Import the button and position in the
      of the square and group.
7:   Copy and paste to make 3, rotate by 45 degrees and position them down the centre of the middle
      panel, re-sizing to make them fit if necessary.
8:   Import the butterfly, re-size and copy and paste to make 4. Rotate 2 butterflies approx 20 degrees to 
      left and the other 2 to the right. Position as illustrated.
9:   'Deconstruct' the card so the 3 central diamond are separate from the card design. Print all on to
      good quality card.
10: Use a Versamark pad to ink the 3 diamonds and emboss with a glitter embossing powder.
11: Fix them with dssp down the centre of the card design. Add peel-off borders and more glitter if wished.

RAINBOW BUTTERFLIES CARD 8


Card 8 using the new Rainbow Butterflies Digikit.

You will need a graphics programme such as CAP2 or MCS to make this card.

This card uses Rainbow Butterflies set 4.


1:   Create a dark brown square in your graphics programme approx. 14 cm x 14 cm.
2:   Import the embossed background, re-size and position it over the brown paper leaving a small border.
3:   Import the patterned paper and crop it to approx. 4.5 cm, keeping the pattern constant. 
4:   Position this border on the left side of the embossed paper, copy it and paste on the other side.
5:   Import the button, re-size, copy and paste, and position 3 along the patterned border as illustrated.
6:   Import the butterfly, re-size to fit in the middle panel of the card. Copy and paste so there are 3 evenly
     spaced down the panel.
7:  'Deconstruct' the card so you have the 3 butterflies and the card design (including the butterflies). Print           all on to good quality card. Cut the butterflies out, removing the antennae.
8:   Use a Versamark pen and a clear glitter powder to emboss the buttons.
9:   Use a Versamark pad and the same powder to emboss all 3 butterflies.
10: Glue the bodies over those on the card.
11: Add peel-off, gems and glitter if wished.




  
   

RAINBOW BUTTERFLIES CARD 7


Card 7 using the new Rainbow Butterflies Digikit.

You will need a graphics programme such as CAP2 or MCS to make this card.
CAP2 is used here.

This card uses Rainbow Butterflies set 2.


1:  Create a pink background square in your graphics programme approx. 13.5 cm x 13.5 cm.
2:  Create a deep red / pink square  and re-size and position it over the pink square. Group and put
     in side bar.
3:  Import the floral paper, re-size to approx. the same size as the other squares. Choose one of the frame
     punches (using CAP2) and punch the floral paper.
4:  Re-size and position this over the other squares,
5:  Import the butterfly, re-size to fit over the punched frame. Then remove.
6:  Print both the card design and the butterfly on to good quality card.
7:  Cut the butterfly out, cutting around the antennae.
8:  Glue the butterfly's body to the centre of the card.
9:  Add peel-off borders, gems and glitter if wished.

RAINBOW BUTTERFLIES CARD 6

Card 6 using the new Rainbow Butterflies Digikit.

 You will need a graphics programme such as CAP2 or MCS to make this card.

This card uses Rainbow Butterflies set 1.



1:   Create a cream coloured square  approx. 13 cm x 13 cm in your graphics programme.
2:   Import the embossed paper, re-size and position it over the cream square so there is a small border.
3:   Import the swirling butterflies paper, re-size and place over the embossed paper.
4:   Create a plain brown square and position this over the butterfly paper, leaving about a 1 cm border.
5:   Group the design together. Import and position the button in the centre of the brown square.
6:   Put to the side bar or save.
7:   Import the butterfly, re-size and copy, paste and rotate each by 60 degrees so there are 6.
8:   Arrange them as illustrated, group and then position them around the button.
8:   Print the arrangement on to good quality card. Then isolate the butterfly group from the card and print
      on to vellum. Print just the button on to card.
9:   Cut each butterfly out removing the antennae (too fiddly!).
10: Glue just the butterfly body over those on the card. When the glue is dry fold the wings upwards.
11: Emboss the button several times with Versamark ink and clear embossing powder and fix to the card
     with dssp so it is raised from the card.
